The construction industry is one of the three traditional energy consuming industries in China, consuming nearly 30% of the total social energy every year. High energy consumption, high emission and high pollution have always been a worry for domestic steel enterprises, and serious excess capacity has a direct impact on the survival of enterprises. Can we walk on two legs to make the industry "green" and develop industries that are not in conflict with ecological protection; And let the "green" industry, the development of steel structure and other green building industry? 

 

The steel structure is the "green house" that connects the construction industry and the steel industry to transform and upgrade. As the main representative of green building, steel structure building has the advantage of up to 90% steel recovery rate, once can be built in large quantities, steel structure building will become a "steel storage warehouse." At the same time, steel enterprises can also take the green energy-saving tailwind. It is estimated that if the industrialized production mode of steel structure building is popularized in China, the construction waste will be reduced by about 83% and the building energy saving will be more than 50%. 

 

As a green building, steel structure runs through the circular economy development principle of "reduction, reuse, resource recovery, reduction priority" in the whole life cycle, which can save resources, protect the environment and reduce pollution to the maximum extent. This coincides with the goal of "improving the application efficiency of steel products and promoting the reduction and greening of the whole life cycle of steel products" proposed by the steel industry. 

 

At present, steel structure in China has been widely used in the fields of super-high-rise, large-span spatial structure, industrial plant and so on, and has a broad space for improvement in residential, urban construction and other aspects of the application. It can be predicted that in the future, more will be delivered to the site is not scattered reinforcement, concrete, insulation board, but a piece of wall board, stairs and other "parts"; Mechanically, workers assemble these "parts" into houses... 

 

Under the strong support of the state, the green building industry has gradually realized the transformation from scratch to strong. Since the implementation of the new "Evaluation of Green Building Standards" this year, China's green building has shown a strong momentum of growth. According to statistics, in the first half of the year, a total of 3,194 green building evaluation label projects were issued nationwide, double the number of last year, with a total construction area of 360 million square meters. Up to now, 280 of China's 287 cities at or above the prefectural level have set the goal of building low-carbon eco-cities, and green buildings are expected to account for 20 percent of new construction in urban areas this year, up from 2 percent in 2012.
